Bid for 51-hour sweeping record

Indore, Dec 28 (UNI) Amid attempts for creating records in non-stop singing and dancing, a local organisation is planning to launch 51-hour sweeping to create awareness about cleanliness.

Under the auspices of Morning Walker Friends Group, about 150 people will launch the drive at 0800 hrs on December 31 and it will continue till 1100 hrs on January 2. In between, people in different batches will join the sweeping drive to make the city clean, MW spokesman Pavan Agrawal said.

He said of late, few people of the city and adjoining areas attempted marathon singing and dancing to set new records. But society has not benefitted from such efforts, but the sweeping drive will definitely benefit it, he added.
