ARS demands separate Andhra state
Vijayawada, Dec 28 (UNI) The Andhra Rashtra Samiti (ARS) leaders today demanded that the government should announce separate statehood to Andhra comprising nine coastal districts in the state.
Addressing a press conference here, ARS Founder P Raghavaswami and and ARS leader K Ramamohana Rao claimed if separate Andhra was formed, the people belonging in the area would utilise the water share available properly and construct irrigation projects for the development of the region.
The duo alleged that certain political parties were creating problems to delay the formation of separate Andhra state.
