6-yr-old murder solved

Ratlam, MP, Dec 28 (UNI) A six-year-old murder case has been solved with the arrest of the victim's wife and her paramour, the police said.

The body of Sarpura village-resident Baloo Bhil (38) was found on March 21, 2001 near the village. The case was closed due to lack of any witness.

However, Deputy Inspector-General Varun Kapoor perused the file and handed over the case to Assistant Sub-Inspector Ramesh Tiwari.

After a comprehensive investigation, Pemalbai and Narayan were taken into custody and subjected to sustained interrogation. Narayan confessed that the duo committed the crime.

The accused were remanded to judicial custody.
