Woman burnt alive in Bihar
Madhepura, Dec 27 (UNI) A woman was burnt to death by her in-laws in presence of her son at Sringarpur village under Udakishunganj police station area in the district.
District Police Superintendent Anil Kishore Yadav said today 26-year-old Kanchan Devi was first thrashed by her brothers-in law-Awadhesh Mishra and Tapesh Mishra and was subsequently burnt to death after dousing her with kerosene yesterday.
She cried for help but no oone came to her rescue while her ten-year old-son Kundan Kumar was held by the relatives.
''My father was not around at the time of the incident,'' Kundan told the police during interrogation.
'' A minor land dispute was said to be the reason behind the incident'' Mr Yadav added.
Raids were on to nab the killers, who were absconding after the incident, the police superintendent said .
