Vaccine for uterus cancer developed: Expert

Tirupati, Dec 27 (UNI) The US based Indo-American Cancer Organisation (IACO) Chairman Dr Tulasi Polavarapu today said a vaccine for uterus cancer has been developed in America and would soon hit the market.

Inaugurating a cancer detection camp here, Dr Tulasi said the vaccine developed for females in the age group of 9 to 26 years, would hit the Indian market in the next three to four years.

On breast cancers, she said sophisticated equipment were available for early detection of breast cancers.

Medical Superintendent Kalpana Raghunath said every year eight to ten lakh cancer cases were detected in the country with one lakh new cancer cases in Andhra Pradesh.
