Telanga employees demand separate Service Commission

Hyderabad, Dec 27 (UNI) Employees of Telangana today demanded the Constitution of a separate Service Commission for the region to redress the injustice meted out to them during the past fifty years.

In a statement here, K Suresh, Publicity Secretary of the Telangana Employees Union Central Committee (TEUCC) said the Constitution of the Commission was the only solution to the problems of Government employees of the Telangana region. The government had totally ignored the employees of the region in its recruitment on contract basis and outsourcing, he alleged.

Mr Suresh said the House Committee appointed for the implementation of the GO 610, which stipulated repatriation of employees of other regions from Telangana, should work actively and get information from different directorates and commissionerates, which were yet to submit information about employees of other regions working in Telangana.

He demanded that a comprehensive report be submitted to the State Assembly during its Budget session.
