Suggestions invited on "Judicial Reforms."
New Delhi, Dec 27 (UNI) The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice, will examine in detail the reforms required in Judiciary and report to the Parliament.
The Committee, headed by Rajya Sabha member Dr E M Sudarsana Natchippan, will consider the aspects like financial autonomy and accountability of judiciary, expenditure assessment, allocation of funds to the judiciary and a mechanism for projection of its plan fund, taking into consideration the various parameters of fiscal discipline.
Detailed questionnaire and suggested areas of study are available on the Rajya Sabha website (http://rajyasabha.nic.in) for the public to give their views and suggestions within the next 30 days.
The Committee will also go separately into the issues concerning 'Public Grievances Redressal Mechanism' as part of study of Administrative Reforms.
Official sources said the committee would examine the 'Public Grievances Redressal Mechanism' as available in various Government Departments, Organisations, PSUs, Banking Institutions and trusts.
It would also explore the necessity of a separate enactment on the Public Grievances Redressal Mechanism.
