Separate state will become reality by 2009: Cong leader

Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 27 (UNI) Senior Congress leader V Purushothama Reddy today said the formation of a separate state would become a reality by 2009.

Mr Reddy, who created a controversy by stating that a second States Reorganisation Commission (SRC) should be constituted for the formation of Telangana state, had collected signatures of Congress legislators from the Telangana and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister yesterday seeking constitution of second SRC.

Displaying a copy of the submitted memorandum to the media persons here, Mr Reddy refused to comment on the statement of Congress MP V Hanumantha Rao, who recently said the Telangana matter was left to the AICC President Sonia Gandhi and every one should await for her decision.
