Sanguine Media launches 'Samrat'

Chennai, Dec 27 (UNI) Sanguine Media limited, a city-based specialised marketing promotions and events company today launched "Samrat," India's first custom designed vehicle for mobile product marketing and brand promotion initiatives, exclusively aimed at penetrating into the rural markets.

Addressing a press conference here in this connection, Mr D V Vinod Gopal, Managing Director and CEO said Samrat would purely act as a promotional vehicle and showcase products of different companies.

He said the vehicle with state-of-the-art facilities has been designed to take at least ten brands of non-competitive products of different companies for promotion, thereby enabling cost sharing among the companies.

The company's field experience showed that single product promotions do not elicit as much response as multiple products do in rural market and Samrat's modular design makes it possible to simultaneously promote upto 10 brands, he said.

It would cost Rs 40,000 per brand per month for a company to join the promotional campaign, he said adding "our mission is to add values and meaning to the advertisements made by the companies in the print and television media. The below the line activitiy in the campaign would give the consumers a "touch and feel" experience, he added.

The cost of the vehicle is about Rs eight to ten lakh and by January end, the company would add five more vehicles and 50 more vehicles by next year. "We will require 350 vehicles to cover the entire Tamil Nadu and in next two years, we will have 100 vehicles," Mr Gopal said.

After covering Tamil Nadu, the company would move to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala in the coming years, he added.
