Raids on unauthorised SAP training institutes after HC orders

Mumbai, Dec 27 (UNI) SAP India, one of the leading provider of business software solutions, today announced raids were conducted on SAPzen Consulting India Pvt Ltd (SAPzen), an unauthorised training institute having branches in Bangalore and Mumbai.

The raides were conducted by local commissioner following a civil suit for Infringement of Copyright filed by the company in the Delhi High Court.

''SAP is extremely determined to crack down on institutes offering unauthorised training on SAP software and the civil action instituted against SAPzen is one of the many actions that it has instituted against unauthorised training institutes.

We are looking at further intensifying our campaign by working closely with the authorities,'' CEO for SAP's Indian subscontinent, Mr Alan Sedghi said in a statement here.

During the aforesaid raids at their training centers in Bangalore and Mumbai, it was found that these centers were running unlicensed version of the SAP software on its 53 computers. Out of this 22 machines were at their Bangalore training center and 31 were at their Mumbai training center.

In accordance with the court order, all these computers were seized by the local commissioners in the respective cities, Mr Sedghi added.
