Panic at high security Cantonment area in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 27: Panic gripped high security Cantonment area in the city when a iron chest was found on the main road this morning, official sources said.

They said security forces noticed a chest on the roadside just outside the main wall of headquarters of XV crops near G B Pant hospital this morning.

Traffic on both sides from Batwara and Sonawar was stopped.

The Bomb disposal squad was summoned and the chest was later opened, however, nothing was found.
