NCP to protest before US Embassy against Saddam death sentence
New Delhi, Dec 27 (UNI) The Nationalist Congress Party, led by its General Secretary Tariq Anwar, will hold a massive demonstration in front of the US Embassy here tomorrow to protest the death sentence to former Iraqi president Saddam Hussain.
Thousands of party workers, led by Mr Anwar and NCP Delhi Pradesh president Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, would hold a demonstration to protest against the imposition of the American agenda in Iraq and unilateral hegemony of the George Bush Government.
In a statement issued here, Mr Bidhuri, terming the death sentence against Saddam as ''unwarranted and provocative,'' said this would lead to escalation in violence in Iraq.
He demanded that the death sentence against Saddam be suspended without any delay.
