Musharraf's formula on Kashmir very loose: Bhim Singh
New Delhi, Dec 27: Describing Gen. Pervez Musharraf's four-point proposals on Kashmir as ''very loose,'' National Panthers Party Chief Bhim Singh today asked the Pakistan President to specify whether he included the Gilgit-Baltistan region also when he spoke about the so-called ''Azad Kashmir.'' ''The proposals given by the Pakistan President are very loose which have not been specified. What about the civil and political liberties in the Gilgit-Baltistan region ?,'' he said at a press conference.
Also, Gen Musharraf should make it clear whether the formula of de-militarisation and human rights violation is applicable to Gilgit which had been ''taken over'' by the Pakistani Army and where nearly 3000 people had been put in jail, Mr Bhim Singh said.
Referring to Islamabad's statement that Pakistan had never claimed any part of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr Bhim Singh said Gen Musharraf should prove it by vacating the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).
About the 'out-of-box' solution on Kashmir, Mr Bhim Singh said the Ruler of Kashmir was the only competent authority to decide the merger as per the India's Independence Act of the British Parliament and he had done it by acceeding to the Union of India. He said one more clause should be added to the 'out-of-box' solution to remove uncertainty over ''Azad Kashmir'' and Gilgit.
