MP set 259 to win by Goa

Indore, Dec 27 (UNI) Bundling out Goa for 240 runs, hosts Madhya Pradesh were 69 for one in pursuit of victory target of 259 in their Ranji Trophy Plate Group A encounter at the Usha Raje Cricket Ground here today.

At stumps on the third day, Amit Paul (32) and A Jadhav (0) were at the crease for the hosts.

Resuming at an overnight score of 67/2, the visitors took the total to 240, aided by a scintillating knock of 78 by skipper S Asnodkar. Rohit Asnodkar made 34 while N Haldipur contributed 24.

For the hosts, T Sudheendra scalped four wickets, A Rajan and S Pandey claimed two each while S A Ali took one.
