Mixed trend seen in metal prices

Mumbai, Dec 27 (UNI) Mixed trend was seen in metal prices today, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.

In the ferrous segment Copper heavy was slashed by Rs 300 per quintal on thin buying support.

In the non-ferrous segment, Nickel cathode hiked by Rs 10 slab per kg.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 33,200, copper utensils - Rs 30,500, brass utensils - Rs 22,700, brass cuttings - Rs 25,500 and aluminium utensils - Rs 10,900.

Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 36,000, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,200, zinc slab - Rs 23,000, lead ingots - Rs 7,800, tin slab - Rs 592 (per kg) and nickel cathode - Rs 1,740 (per kg).
