Minister pays surprise visit to PF office

Kochi, Dec 27 (UNI) Union Labour Minister Oscar Fernandez today paid a surprise visit to the local Provident Fund office to gauge its functioning.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Fernandez said the purpose of the visit was to study the functioning of the office, as he was a new minister.

Mr Fernandez also had an hour-long meeting with the authorities at the office.

He also asked the employees to report to him, if they face any problem in their work.
