Minister objects to DGP's comment on Telangana
Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy today objected to Director General of Police (DGP) Swaranjeet Sen's comment on Telangana issue and observed that he should have abstained from doing so.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Reddy said the DGP should not concern himself with matters other than law and order.
The DGP recently commented that formation of separate Telangana can not be achieved in the near future.
The Home Minister said he would not comment on the statements made by other political leaders.
On the power crisis, Mr Reddy said the recent power crisis was due to certain technical problems at thermal stations and it would be resolved within two to three days.
He said the government had stored water in major reservoirs to ensure smooth supply of water till the next Khariff season.
Mr Reddy also warned of necessary actions against those, who try to disturb law and order in the state.
The opposition TDP is planning dharnas at all sub-stations in the state tomorrow to protest against the power crisis.
