Milk to be dearer in MP

Bhopal, Dec 27 (UNI) The Bhopal Milk Federation (BMF) will enhance milk prices by Rs 1 per litre from tomorrow.

Sanchi Gold, Sanchi Taaza and Sanchi Shakti brands will come under this purview. The adjustment was necessitated by reduction in the availability of milk -- down by about 20,000 litres compared to last year.

Recently, Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Milk Confederation Managing Director K C Gupta gave written permission to milk federations to increase prices in accordance with the situation.

''The 200 g Sanchi Smart packet will not be affected by the increase, which was necessitated also by the rise in prices of fat,'' said BMF General manager A K Nigam.
