Manipur NCP dares ministers, MLAs to declare assets
Imphal, Dec 27 (UNI) The Manipur NCP has asked the ruling Cong-CPI coalition ministers and MLAs to declare their assets.
Party Vice-President N Radhakanta said here today, ''the foul play was suspected in the recent declarations of results for police and medical staff exams and Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh was aware of the whole affair.'' The ministers and the MLAs of the ruling combine had strongly opposed the selected list and the Chief Minister himself said ''it was an internal matter which would be resolved.'' The Congress and the CPI, which are the partners of the ruling Secular Progressive Front government, should not give cold shoulder to its responsibilities.
Mr Radhakanta also urged the MLAs and ministers to declare their assets before the ninth Assembly elections scheduled to be held early next year.
