Major fire breaks out in Imphal market

Imphal, Dec 27: Several shops were gutted in a major fire that broke out at Thangal bazar here tonight, official sources said.

They said fire tenders had been pressed into service to douse the blaze and rescue those trapped.

The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained and the quantum of damage to be estimated, the sources said.
