Jasjeet opens up 9-stroke lead at RCGC Cup

Kolkata, Dec 27 (UNI) Jasjeet Singh opened up a yawning nine-stroke gap on the leader-board, courtesy a second round of three-under 69 at the Royal Challenge RCGC Cup here today.

Jasjeet's tournament tally now stands at 12-under 132.

Himmat Rai continued the good work to occupy the second place at 141 after returning a one-under 71 today.

Meanwhile, Saurabh Bahuguna shot two-under 70 to climb to third place at 142 while Ranjit Singh, who shot 73, was a further two strokes behind at 144.

Tied-fifth at a score of 145 were Gagan Verma (73), Sanaresh Sardar (71) and Asian Games silver medalist Anirban Lahiri who shot the day's best score of 68.

Karan Singh (74), Shaurya Singh (73) and Joseph Chakola (75) were tied eighth at 146.

Meanwhile, three-time Sri-Lankan Amateur winner Simarjeet Singh shot 77 to join Tarun Goghale in tied 111h place at 147.
