Ishant happy on his inclusion in Indian team
Rajkot, Dec 27 (UNI) Delhi medium-pacer Ishant Sharma today said he was very happy on his inclusion in the Indian Test squad against South Africa.
Ishant was selected to replace paceman Irfan Pathan who has been recalled by selectors to play domestic cricket.
Commenting on his selection at the end of the third day play of Ranji Trophy match, being played here between Delhi and Saurashtra, Ishant told the media ''I am very happy to join the squad before the final Test at Cape Town.'' The 18-year-old school boy has scalped 22 wickets this season in five matches and is keen to do the best for the Indian team.
Ishant, who is a 12th standard student in Ganga Ram International School in Delhi, is likely to leave in a day or two to join the Indian team in South Africa.
Standing tall at 6 feet 4 inches, Ishant's performance in the domestic circuit has impressed cricket experts.
