Irate villagers disrupt train services

Arra, Dec 27 (UNI) Train services in Patna-Mughalsarai route were disruptedd today as a group of villagers squatted on railway tracks between Bihiyan and Banahi railway stations under Danapur division of East Central Railway.

Inspector General of Police(Rail) Ajay Verma said that the villagers were protesting the 'killing' of a person by RPF jawans in an incident yesterday.

Efforts were on to persuade the villagers to end their agitation and restore train movements along the route, he said.

A shopkeeper, Gharishan Yadav, was killed yesterday when RPF Jawans opened fire after a sub-inspector was injured in stone pelting by the villagers during a raid carried out to nab a notorious criminal in connection with a theft case.
