Industrialisation will go ahead in West Bengal: Buddhadeb
Siliguri, Dec 27 (UNI) Snuffing out Opposition challenge, West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today reiterated that the ongoing industrialisation in the state would go ahead as industry was key to development.
Addressing a gathering here, Mr Bhattacharjee said the government was keen on the uplift of the state addING that industry would also go hand in hand with agriculture.
It was high time for industrialisation, he opined and averred that some political parties were trying to hinder the developmental process.
On the Singur issue, Mr Bhattacharjee charged the Opposition with unnecessarily creating chaos.
He said not only Tata, other companies were also willing to establish industry in the state, adding some foreign countries, including Germany, had expressed desire to set up industry in the state.
Earlier, giving a boost to the Left Front government Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata announced that there was no question of taking the small car project to some other state.
''Not just politics, but also our business competitors are responsible for the growing trouble in Bengal,'' Mr Tata said in an interview to a private news channel.
