Indore wrestler becomes int'l coach

Indore, Dec 27 (UNI) Local talent Umesh Patel has become the first international wrestling trainer to hail from Madhya Pradesh.

Patel, who is now one of the very few such coaches from India, recently earned the distinction at the World Wrestling Federation's International Freestyle Training Course at Colorado in the United States, said a release from the Madhya Pradesh Amateur Wrestling Association.

The trainer has also become part of the World Wrestling Coaches Association.

In August 1989, Patel became the state's first international wrestling medal -- in America. State Wrestling Association Chairman A N Singh and Secretary M P Tiwari congratulated Patel.
