Gold steady, Silver improves slightly on fresh buying demand
Mumbai, Dec 27 (UNI) Gold remained steady and Silver improved slightly on fresh buying demand with the white metal up by Rs 15 per kg on the Bombay Bullion Exchange today.
Silver fineness opened low at Rs 19,245 per kg on poor demand.
Later, it closed at Rs 19,350 per kg with a gain of Rs 15 per kg from yesterday's close.
In London, the white metal was quoted at 12.67.72 per troy ounce against USD 12.74/12.82 per troy ounce in New York.
Similarly, standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) opened low at Rs 9,025 and Rs 9,075 per ten gm respectively on sluggish demand.
The yellow metal closed at same rate at Rs 9,055 and Rs 9105 per ten grams respectvely from its last close.
In London, the yellow metal was at USD 621.105.10 per troy ounce as compared to USD 6213.00 per troy ounce in New York on Tuesday.
