FIEO appoints G K Gupta as the new President

New Delhi, Dec 27 (UNI) Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has appointed Mr G K Gupta, Managing Director of Vijay Silk House, Mumbai, as the new President, for a period of two years at its 200th Managing Committee Meeting held here.

Mr Gupta was also the Chairman of the Textiles Commitee under government of India, the Synthetic and Rayon Textiles Export council and the Indian Silk Exports Council.

He was a founder member of the powerloom Development Export Promotion Council, also he is a leading exporter of silk and high fashion textiles.

Meanwhile, the FIEO has appointed Poppy's Knitwear Managing Director A Sakthivel as the Vice President.

Mr Sakhthivel holds the position of the Chairman of the India Knit Fair Association, President of the Indian Chamber of commerce and industry, Coimbotore, besides being a member of the industrial development panel under government of Tamil Nadu.
