e-Rev-Max to build development centre in Kolkata

New Delhi, Dec 27 (UNI) Kolkata-based e-Rev-Max, one of the fastest growing hospitality focused technology companies in the world, is planning to build a 60,000 sq ft development centre at Rajghat in Kolkata.

The company also plans to bring its international experience in online distribution management and technologies enabling hotels in India to get online with their approach and results to and from an online world.

This would effectively expose Indian hotels to an international audience. Traditionally, hotels in India predominantly sell only through tour operators and agents.

However, with the introduction of new travel sites, these channels are multiplying at a very fast pace like hotels in Europe have increased the number of channels from an average of three, three years ago, to twelve today, bringing them incremental sales.

eRevMax's technology is provided through the booking engines and distribution management tools.

''All around the world the hospitality industry is experiencing akind of renaissance. India is no exception. We expect to see a massive shift in the way hotels distribute their product today and we want to make sure we are part of that dynamic environment,'' said company's Chief Information Officer Udai Solanki.

e-Rev-Max is now operating in 60 countries and 415 cities and has a client base of more than 2,000 in worldwide.
