DSP arrested for accepting bribe of Rs 25000
Kapurthala, Dec 27 (UNI) Punjab Vigilance Bureau today arrested a Deputy Superintendent of police (DSP) Lakhwinder Paul Singh Khaira of Bholath sub-division while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 25000.
The DSP was caught redhanded in a trap laid by the Vigilance Bureau team following a complaint that he had demanded a bribe from the complainant, Kuldeep Singh Pandori of Rajputan village in Bholath sub-division of the district.
The cop had demanded the bribe from Kuldeep Singh to sort out a matter in which the latter had duped a family of Rs one lakh.
The accused DSP has been arrested under Prevention of Corruption Act.
