Chouhan announces reservation bonanza

Guna, MP, Dec 27 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today announced that 50 per cent of the posts for contractual teachers would be reserved for women and 10 per cent of the police department's posts would also be thus reserved.

''My government has decided that every girl who scores the best marks in her village, in the high school examination, will be accorded the status of 'Gaon ki Beti' and granted several facilities,'' he said while addressing a farmers' meeting at this district's Bamori.

The chief minister declared that Bamori would be given 'tehsil' status after the delimitation commission's work was completed.
