Chandigarh Football Academy inks pact with Germany for training

Chandigarh, Dec 27 (UNI) The Chandigarh Football Academy (CFA) has signed an agreement with Egidius Braun Sportschule, Leipzig, Germany for advanced training.

Sportschule Director Andre Kuhn and Chandigarh Sports Secretary S K Sandhu signed the agreement on behalf of the Egidius Braun Sportschule, Leipzig and Union Territory of Chandigarh respectively.

It was decided that CFA would send 12 players alongwith one coach for 15 days to Egidius Braun Sportschule, Leipzig for advanced training twice a year.

The first batch would be at Leipzig from May 24th to June 8th and second batch from November 18th to December 2nd next year. The training would be on nominal payment basis which would include boarding, lodging, class room teaching and practical training.

CFA players would also play regular matches with local teams at Leipzig and one German coach would visit Chandigarh Football Academy for 15 days in September, 2007 for evaluation, assessment and to supervise the progress of the trainees.

The Egidius Braun Sportschule has the largest indoor artificial turf hall in Germany as well as outdoor artificial turf grass fields, thus providing ideal conditions for soccer in all types of whether.
