BSNL offers addl rent-free landline connection gratis

Chennai, Dec 27 (UNI) BSNL has come out with a business promotion plan providing its customers an additional rent-free landline connection free of cost.

The rent free telephone would be made available to subscribers, whose existing phone had an average monthly bill of Rs 1,500 or more for the past six months, official sources said.

The additional phone connection, with caller line identity provision, would be given without taking any additional security deposit or installation charges.

''The landline connection is also made available with hunting facility with reference to the customer's existing landline number by which even if his existing telephone is engaged, the new telephone is now available for receiving or making calls,'' the sources said.

The additional phone could be used for receiving incoming calls absolutely free and on request, outgoing facility could be given, for which Rs 1.20 per metered call would be charged, the sources added.
