Beckons Industries for rights issue to fund biodiesel project

New Delhi, Dec 27 (UNI) Punjab-based Beckons Industries today announced plans to mobilise funds through rights issue to meet requirements of setting up a biodiesel project.

The proposed project stands appraised by Nabard and State Bank of India, a company statement said.

The board of directors of the company will meet on Beckons Industries December 29, to discuss and decide the issues relating to the issue of further capital on rights basis, appointing various agencies such as lead managers, registrar.

The resolution has been passed at the Annual General Meeting of the shareholders of the company held on September 30, 2006.

Beckons Industries is an IT and computer peripherals company, which diversified into pharma-based biotechnology a few years back.
