Beautiful environment generates beautiful minds:Kalam

Majitar, East Sikkim, Dec 27 (UNI) President A P J Abdukl Kalam today said beautiful environment generates beautiful minds which in turn leads to creativity.

While delivering the inaugural address at the 14th National Children Science Congress at the Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology campus here, the President said creativity is a birth place for important questions which leads to many discoveries like Raman effect and the number theory.

Dr Kalam asked the around 600 child scientists who came from all over the country to take a pledge to work up their mind ask questions and make new discoveries.

The President administered an oath to the children. The children took the oath that reads- " Courage to think different Courage to invent Courage to discover impossible Courage to travel into an unexplored path to combat the problem and succeed As a youth of my nation I will work and work with courage to achieve success in scientific discoveries." The President also held an interactive session with the children and teachers during his two-hour stay at the campus.
