Basith to be next AP DGP

Hyderabad, Dec 27 (UNI) Mr M A Basith, presently Principal Secretary in the Andhra Pradesh Home Department, will be the new Director General of Police (DGP).

According to official sources, Mr Basith will replace present DGP Swaranjit Sen, who is retiring on December 31, 2006.

Earlier, Mr Basith served as DGP (Prisons)and various other posts.
