APTRANSCO Engrs Associaton condemn attack on sub-stations

Hydeabad, Dec 27 (UNI) The APTRANSCO Engineers' Association today strongly condemned the attacks on electrical sub-stations, engineers and staff working in APTRANSCO and DISCOMs.

In a statement here, Association General Secretary M Satya Murthy said it was unfortunate the engineers who were toiling day and night to maintain uninterrupted supply and provide better services to consumers were being gheraoed and put to hardship while executing their duties.

He said valuable infrastructure like sub-stations, transformers and control panels, circuit breakers and computers set up after spending huge money were being damaged.

The Association appealed all agriculture consumers and those agitating to desist from such hasty actions and observe peaceful protests.

These attacks would demoralise the spirit of engineers working in the field, he said.
