Aircel launches mobile services in HP
Shimla, Dec 27 (UNI) Aircel, the market leader in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and North-East telecom circles, launched its GSM services in Himachal Pradesh today.
This is the eighth circle across India where the Aircel will be providing their mobile services, CEO Jagdish Kini said at a press conference here.
He said Aircel has obtained 14 new licences to roll out its GSM cellular services besides getting the licence to provide international long distance and national long distance telephony services and was poised to transform itself into a pan-Indian operator.
Aircel's state-of-the-art congestion-free network would cover more than 75 towns in the HP circle. The network was being rolled out with 150 BTSs to ensure seamless connectivity.
Aircel is a part of Maxis Communications, Malaysia.
