8 youth taken into custody in Ayodhya

Faizabad, Dec 27 (UNI) Police today detained eight youths, on suspicion, who were spotted loitering outside the disputed Ramjanambhoomi-Babri Masjid complex at Ayodhya in this district.

Superintendent of Police B D Shukla said security personnel intercepted the suspects roaming outside the disputed structure.

When asked they identified themselves as employees of a mobile company.

The detained were identified as Mohd Azam (Delhi), Rehan Khan (Delhi), Avinash Jha (Ranchi), Amit, Nitin, Nikhil and Shamshad Alam (Kanpur) and Karam Singh.

Their interrogation was on.
