Three-member family commit suicide

Malappuram, Kerala, Dec 26 (UNI) Three members of a family were found dead at their residence in Karumthxal near Pookkiparamba in the district early today.

Police said the deceased were identified as Saidalivi (32), his wife Rehaneth(28) and son Mohammed Afnas (4).

Preliminary investigation had indicated that they took the extreme step by allegedly consuming poison last night. Foul play, however, was ruled out.

A case has been registered and an investigation was underway, police added.
