One shot dead by militants

Imphal, Dec 25 (UNI) A man was shot dead and two others shot in their legs by cadres of United National Liberation Front for alleged involvement in a murder case.

A spokesman of UNLF said on December 15 last one Basanta (35) was killed and three persons were directly involved.

Th Premchand was shot dead for committing that crime, while RK Brajamani and Raju were shot in their legs.

Police said the dead body of Premchand was found in Imphal last night and it was taken to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences for post mortem.

Another accomplice identified as Raju was asked to surrender to the outfit.
