Doctors' strike paralyses PMCH

Patna,Dec 25(UNI) Patna Medical College Hospital(PMCH) authorities today suspended admission of new patients into the hospital following a wildcat strike by junior doctors last night.

The doctors had been demanding effective steps to provide security to them as the government dismissed 11 security guards for their failure to prevent violent incidents in hospital premises.

Assurance from the government to make adequate security arrangements for doctors on duty in the wake of attacks on them by rowdy elements following deaths of indoor patients, failed to pacify the junior medicoes who refused to relent till ''concrete action is visible on the ground''.
