Italian link in Litvinenko case arrested-source
ROME, Dec 24 (Reuters) The Italian contact of the dead former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko was arrested today, a judicial source said.
The source said Mario Scaramella was arrested at Naples airport as he arrived on a flight from London, where he was hospitalised earlier this month for treatment of suspected radiation poisoning.
Scaramella was one of the last people to have met with former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko, who died last month of radiation poisoning.
Scaramella was arrested in connection with an investigation into arms trafficking and violating state secrets.
