Radhakrishnan Pattanur chosen for media award

Kannur, Dec 23 (UNI) Mr Radhakrishnan Pattanur, Bureau Chief of Desabhimani, Wynad, has been selected for the Surendran Neeleswaram Memorial Award for 2006 for investigative reporting.

He won the award for a story on farmers' suicides in Wynad district, which was published in 'Desabhimani' in July last.

The award, carrying a cash prize of Rs 5,001 and a statuette, desinged by Mudhra Upendran, will be presented to him at a function to be held at Neeleswaram on December 30, Award Committee Chairman K P Jayarajan told a news conference here today.
