Three students drown in sea

Chennai, Dec 21 (UNI) Three school-going boys drowned while taking bath at the sea in Kasimedu area in the city yesterday.

Police said the deceased were identified as J Surendran, M Prasanth and L Velmurugan, all standard ten students of a private Higher Secondary School in Korukkupet.

The tragedy occured when they had come to the sea after finishing their half yearly examinations.

Police and fire service personnel recovered the bodies after a long search near the Zero Gate in the Chennai Harbour.

The bodies were sent to Government Stanley Hospital for post-mortem, police added.
