Sant Hirdaram dies in his ashram
Bhopal, Dec 21: Sindhi community seer Sant Hirdaram died tonight at his ashram in the satellite town of Bairagarh following a brief illness, ashram sources said.
The death occured at about 2100 hrs. He was one-handed.
Born on September 21, 1906, the seer had migrated here from Pushkar in Rajasthan.
Bairagarh had been renamed as Sant Hirdaram Nagar and the ashram was the centre of faith for lakhs of devotees in India and abroad.
Member of all community respected the seer.
A pall of gloom descended over the town as the news of his demise spread and thousands of people gathered at the ashram.
Devotees will be able to pay their final tribute to Sant Hirdaram between 0900-1000 hrs tomorrow at the ashram where the funeral is scheduled later in the day.
