Lucknow, Dec 21 (UNI) Emboldened by the party's success in the recent local polls in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP leadership will hold a three-day conclave here from tomorrow to work out strategies to strengthen its position in the state as well as and other states going to the assembly polls early next year.

BJP President Rajnath Singh will flag off the National Executive by delivering the presidential address outlining the party's strategy, followed by a review of the party's preparedness for the assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Punjab, and Manipur.

The council will expose the UPA's failures on price rise and inflation despite following the 'Congress Ka Haath Aam Admi Ke Saath' mantra. The prices of essential commodities had gone up by 30 to 40 per cent and the recent revision of petrol prices had offered only a temporary relief, said a party source.

The BJP will expose the 'hidden intentions' of the Congress in shaking hands with Parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal Guru by delaying the death sentence awarded by Supreme Court, said senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu, accusing the UPA government of going soft on anti-national forces.
