Mercury rises slightly in MP

Bhopal, Dec 21 (UNI) With a change in the wind direction, the mercury rose by one to three degrees in most parts of Madhya Pradesh.

''The winds are blowing in a southeasterly direction,'' a Regional Meteorological Centre spokesman said today.

The mercury plummeted to seven to eight degrees Celsius at Ujjain, Raisen and Shajapur. Night temperature was 9 degrees at Indore, Khajuraho, Gwalior, Tikamgarh and Malajkhand; 10 degrees at Bhopal, Guna and Sheopur Kalan; 12 degrees at Satna, Jabalpur and Sagar.
