Man jumps from Tawi bridge, dies

Jammu, Dec 21 (UNI) A unidentified middle-aged man allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the Tawi river here today, police said.

According to police, the person jumped from the city's busiest bridge on the Tawi.

Police personnel fished out the unconscious person from the river and immediately shifted him to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu where the doctors pronounced him as brought dead, sources said.

The body of the person was kept in the mortuary for identification and post-mortem, they added.
