Kerala to honour Sreesanth

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 21 (UNI) India's newest pace sensation S Sreesanth will be honoured with a gold medal by the Kerala Government for his match-winning performance in the Johannesburg Test against South Africa.

This was announced by Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan after a meeting of the State cabinet.

He said those Keralites who won gold medal in the just-concluded Doha Asian Games would be given a cash award of Rs five lakh while the silver medal winners would get Rs three lakh and bronze medallists Rs two lakh.
