German Naval chief visits Southern Command HQs at Kochi

Kochi, Dec 21 (UNI) A four-member German Naval delegation, headed by Chief of the German Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Welfgang Nolting, paid a two-day visit to the Southern Naval Command (SNC) headquarters here.

The team, which arrived yesterday, was received at the Naval air station INS Garuda by Southern Naval Command's, Chief of Staff Rear Admiral Rajender Singh.

On arrival at the SNC Headquarters, Vice Admiral Nolting inspected a Guard of Honour and later met the command's Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Vice Admiral J S Bedi.

He was also given a presentation on the SNC. During his stay, the Admiral visited some of the professional training schools at the Kochi naval base, an official release here said.

The delegation left for Mumbai today.
